Thank you for your interest in joining the Salina Virtual Innovation Academy (SVIA) family. Our virtual program is a great educational option but does not fit the needs of every student and family. The application process serves to identify students who are likely to be successful in our virtual model. Please review all materials and contact us with questions.
SVIA Enrollment Process
Current USD 305 Students: In District and actively enrolled.
1. USD 305 students must be a current USD 305 student and live within the boundary of USD 305. Use this link to sign in to Skyward Family Access and register for school year 2023-2024.
2. Complete the application.
3. Notify your school counselor at home building that you have applied. The school counselor will provide documentation and submit it to Salina Virtual Innovation Academy.
4. A representative from Salina Virtual Innovation Academy will be in touch to set up a meeting with students and parents/guardians.
5. Parents will be notified of acceptance status and further enrollment instructions.
Students not currently enrolled in a USD 305 school (must be within 30 miles of Salina, KS):
1. Register an account in our student information system. Once you have registered, you’ll receive a message explaining how to enroll your student(s) in our schools. Our system uses your home address to determine which school your student(s) attend. You will receive this information as soon as your registration is complete.
2. Once notified of acceptance into USD 305, complete the application.
3. Notify your school counselor at home building that you have applied. The school counselor will provide documentation and submit it to Salina Virtual Innovation Academy.
